Mohawk is a centralized linen service offering efficiencies and cost savings unobtainable by individual facilities. We are a not-for-profit co-operative dedicated to serving the health care community of Ontario. Started in 1971, our customer group is comprised of 24 hospitals throughout the Golden Horseshoe` Niagara Peninsula and Greater Toronto area. And, we're growing! Following established infection control guidelines for laundering items like bed and operating room linens, including Innerbloc Surgical Fabric and uniforms, Mohawk Hospital Services features one of the most modern and automated health care laundry facilities in the area, processing 20 million pounds of linen per year. Just-in-time delivery systems reduce the need for storage. On-site inventory management and control is eliminated. Usage patterns and department comparisons are facilitated and billing is simplified and expedited. Finally, our state-of-the-art inventory control system eliminates staff pressures in the management and handling of a wide variety of reusable products.
